Determination: A worth tool for success!

July 12th, 2018

Determination can be defined as the firmness of purpose. Purpose is having direction and knowing what to do. Without purpose, nothing worthwhile is achieved. However, with determination, the quality of mind of an individual reaches definite solution.

Every human is created for a purpose and to be purposeful. Most people have problems in life because they have not been disciplined enough to understand their life purpose, and as such, they live life without understanding the purpose of their life. They live a meaningless life, which is a very hard life. Furthermore, not having a life-purpose is synonymous to not having a vision and my Bible says in the book of Proverbs 29:18, “Where there is no vision, the people perish”.

We all need to stretch out a little bit so that we can reach our destinies. At the same time, we also need to remain focused and conform to our success path. If we fail to do so we will never meet our goals, look at what the Bible says in 2 Timothy 2:25—“An athlete is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.” Hence, we first need to gauge ourselves and know how much determined we are, so that we don’t grow weary before reaching our destiny.
This shows that one needs to set a limit and goals for them to be determined. Perhaps, you are asking yourself why. Well, the answer is quite simple, because you cannot be determined if you have not set your limits.

In most cases, determination goes hand in hand with our faith; in other words this is like saying without faith we cannot be determined. Because for sure, if you cannot believe that one day your dreams will be achieved, how can you be determined to go for it? You need to have faith and hope that everything is going to be fine, because God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. Ephesians 3:20

God is very genuine, and He does not discriminate. A proof of this can be found in Ecclesiastes 9:11 which says that, “I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all.” This shows that anyone regardless of gender, race, social-economic status, etc., can achieve whatever they wants; what counts the most is our yearn and wish to reach our goal. But without purpose, there is no worthwhile goal.
Do you know your purpose? Do you have goals? Give yourself a challenge to understand your purpose and set goal to accomplish the purpose for which God created you, so that your life will flow in alignment and in accordance to the will of your creator. Life is fulfilling when it is in accordance to the will of God.
